My name is Alan “Big Al” Deacon (I’m 6’3”). I’ve started this website as a way to continue helping people with improving and enjoying their homes. I have worked as a residential contractor for over 30 years, specializing in roofing, siding and remodeling.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It has affected my balance and walking ability.

My online endeavors are a result of looking for a way to continue working in the construction field. I greatly enjoy helping people find the best and most cost effective ways to repair and improve their homes.

Over the years I have accumulated quite a bit of knowledge in many areas of home improvement as well as an extensive network of colleagues that specialize in complimentary niches.

The internet provides me with a way to continue to do what I enjoy and am good at. I look forward to providing you with information that will help you to make the best out of your home!
